Our commitment: Your data belongs to you. We collect only what's necessary to provide the service, and we never sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Liv, we collect:
- Account Information: Email address for authentication
- Self-Reported Data: Sleep quality, environment ratings, notes, and relationship information you choose to enter
- Photos: Selfies you optionally capture (stored locally and in your account)
- Connected Services: If you connect Google Calendar/Tasks or Fitbit, we access only the data needed to display your schedule and health metrics
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide personalized wellness insights through our AI analysis feature
- Display your calendar events and tasks
- Track your health metrics from connected devices
- Remember your preferences and settings
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using:
- Supabase: Our authentication and database provider, with enterprise-grade security
- Local Storage: Some preferences are stored in your browser for faster access
- Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS
4. Third-Party Services
Liv integrates with:
- Google: Calendar and Tasks (read and write access to display and manage your tasks)
- Fitbit: Activity, sleep, and heart rate data
- Anthropic Claude: AI-powered insights (your data is processed but not stored by Anthropic)
- Deepgram: Voice transcription and text-to-speech for voice chat features
- Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions
Each service has its own privacy policy. You can disconnect these services at any time in Settings.
5. Google User Data: Sharing, Transfer & Disclosure
When you connect your Google account to Liv, we access the following data:
- Google Calendar: Event titles, times, and descriptions to display your schedule
- Google Tasks: Task titles, due dates, and completion status to sync your tasks
We do NOT share, transfer, or disclose your Google user data to any third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:
Data Sharing:
- We do NOT sell your Google data to anyone
- We do NOT share your Google data with advertisers
- We do NOT share your Google data with data brokers
- We do NOT use your Google data for purposes unrelated to providing the Liv service
Limited Transfers:
- Supabase (Database Provider): Your Google OAuth tokens are securely stored in our Supabase database to maintain your connection. Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your data for any other purpose.
- Anthropic Claude (AI Analysis): If you use the AI analysis features, your task titles may be included in the analysis. Anthropic processes this data in real-time and does not retain it after processing.
Legal Disclosure:
- We may disclose Google user data if required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request
- We will notify you of such requests when legally permitted
Your Control:
- You can disconnect Google at any time in Settings → Connected Services
- Upon disconnection, we delete your stored Google OAuth tokens within 24 hours
- You can also revoke access directly in your Google Account settings
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can:
- Export your data at any time (contact us at support@liv.rip)
- Delete specific entries within the app
- Delete your entire account and all associated data
When you delete your account:
- All personal wellness data is permanently deleted within 24 hours
- Photos and selfies are removed from our storage
- OAuth tokens for connected services are revoked
- Your subscription is cancelled
- Your email and authentication credentials are deleted
What we may retain:
- Basic transaction records for tax/legal compliance (up to 7 years, as required by law)
- Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics that cannot identify you
- Records required to comply with legal obligations

7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Data portability
8. Children's Privacy
Liv is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
